Save our Planet: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

What does the three R means?

The three R means Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The three R's are vital for waste management and reducing pollution from our environment. By practicing these three R, we can save our planet and keep our environment clean and safe.

Why should we recycle?

Recycling is a way through which we can reduce the amount of garbage that is thrown away.  The garbage pollutes the land and air but with help of recycling we can reuse the things in new products that are otherwise thrown away.

What are the two types of recycling operation? Explain in your own words.

There are two types of recycling operations: internal and external.
In internal recycling, an industry reuses the waste products of manufacturing process within the same process. It is most common in metal industry.
External recycling is the reclaiming of materials from a product that has been worn out. An example of external recycling is the collection of old newspaper and magazines for the manufacture of paper products.

List down the things that can be reduced, reused and recycled.

There are a lot of things that can be reduced, reused and recycled such as glass bottles, newspapers, magazines, plastics, aluminum cans and many more. Even water can be recycled and can be used again. It also saves energy.

Write down some of the benefits of recycling on the environment?

There are a lot of benefits of recycling on the environment as it is important in reducing pollution of air, water and land.  It is helpful in reducing the landfill wastes. It also protects natural resources such as trees, minerals and oil. Moreover it has economic benefits as making products from raw materials cost more than making it from recycled products.
