 1.Why is it important to promote the use of public transport?

The use of public transport in our daily life is very much important. Firstly it is economic and affordable for all. Secondly it reduces each person's carbon footprints. Thirdly public transport is energy efficient.

2.Approximately how many million people travel on Hong Kong's public transport everyday?

Hong Kong's transport system is considered as the best in the world. Around 12.6 millions passengers travel daily on Hong Kong's public transport which is 90% of their population.

3. What is meant by Environment friendly transport?

Environment friendly transport means those transport that protect the environment from getting polluted. It generally runs on electricity. They are fast and reliable. For example all trains in London and Japan are electric.

4. What is the Japanese name for Japan's Bullet train?

Japan fascinating bullet train is named as ''Shinkansen''. It takes you in different directions around Japan in very less time. 

5. Why are many European countries promote the use of cycle?

Many European countries promote the use of cycling as the main mode of transport.  They are promoting it as it is environment friendly and have zero fuel cost. They also protect the environment from getting polluted. Moreover it is also good for health.

Bum boats are large boats that are used for transportation of people and goods. It can carry as many as 60 passengers and is cost effective.
